Mher Sahakyan’s Contemporary China’s Foreign Policy Issues Dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Armenia and China has been Published

    Educational-methodical manual written by its founding director, Dr. Mher Sahakyan. The author of this contribution is also a 2022 AsiaGlobal Fellow of the Asia Global Institute of the University of Hong Kong, Advisory Board member of the International Institute for Peace, Austria, member of the BACS and lecturer at the RAU.

    December 1, 2022. China-Eurasia Council for Political and Strategic Research published Contemporary China’s Foreign Policy Issues Educational-methodical manual written by its founding director, Dr. Mher Sahakyan. The author of this contribution is also a 2022 AsiaGlobal Fellow of the Asia Global Institute of the University of Hong Kong, Advisory Board member of the International Institute for Peace, Austria, member of the BACS and lecturer at the RAU. Mher holds a doctoral degree in international relations from China’s Nanjing University. Sahakyan dedicated this contribution to the 30th anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Armenia and China. The task of this work is to analyze the main goals and challenges of modern China's foreign policy, its role in Multipolar World Order 2.0, relations with the superpower USA and great powers Russia, EU, India, to examine the role of the Belt and Road initiative. This contribution critically examines China's foreign policy in Central Asia, the South Caucasus, the Middle East, Eastern and Western Europe, East Asia, Africa, China's multilateral policy in the SCO, BRICS, RIC, UNSC, etc.

    The author also introduces the role of the Digital Silk Road and Chinese technologies in international relations. This work offers teaching methods that the author used while teaching at the RAU, YSU and ISEC, NAS. The work was guaranteed for publication by the Scientific Council of the RAU and by the Scientific Council of RAU’s Institute of Law and Politics. It was reviewed by the Head of the Center for regional strategic analysis of INSS, NDRU, Dr. Davit Manasyan and by the Director of the IOS, NAS, Dr. Robert Ghazaryan.
